Terms of Use
Last updated: 15 September 2026
These terms govern your use of CoursePapa. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use CoursePapa.
1. What CoursePapa does
CoursePapa is an AI-assisted course builder. You provide a topic; the service designs a curriculum and then finds a real, publicly available YouTube video for each lesson. The resulting course is assembled by software: the lesson structure is generated by an AI model and the videos belong to third-party creators.
2. Your account
- You must give a valid email address and keep your password confidential.
- One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to obtain extra course credits is not allowed and may result in suspension.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. You can enable two-factor authentication in your profile.
- You can delete your account at any time from Profile.
3. Fair use of the service
You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl or bulk-extract content from CoursePapa, or use automated tools to create courses in bulk;
- resell access to the service, or present generated courses as your own software product;
- attempt to bypass course limits, authentication, or the quota and rate limits described below;
- use the service to build courses that promote illegal activity, or that infringe anyone's rights.
4. YouTube content and YouTube API Services
- Lesson videos are found through YouTube API Services and play through the standard YouTube embedded player. Your use of those videos is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's data practices by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Videos, titles, thumbnails and channel names belong to their creators. CoursePapa does not host, download, re-upload or claim ownership of any video, and does not remove or modify the player's standard features or advertising.
- A matched video is a suggestion by our software, not an endorsement by CoursePapa of the creator or of the accuracy of their content.
- If a video becomes unavailable, private, or un-embeddable, the lesson may lose its video; you can use Find another video in the classroom to search again.
5. Quotas, limits and availability
- Video matching depends on the YouTube Data API, which applies a daily search quota shared across all CoursePapa users. When that quota is reached, video matching pauses and resumes automatically after the quota resets (midnight Pacific Time). Your generated curriculum and progress are never lost.
- Each account has a course limit, and a limit on how many courses can be created in 24 hours. These are enforced server-side.
- We may change limits, or temporarily suspend the service, to protect the platform and other users.
6. AI-generated content
Curricula, lesson objectives and video-match scores are produced by an AI model. They can be incomplete or wrong. CoursePapa is a study aid: check important facts against the source material before relying on them.
7. Certificates
Certificates are issued by CoursePapa to record that you completed every lesson in a course. They are not academic qualifications or accredited credentials.
8. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or attempts to circumvent the YouTube API quota or other users' access.
9. Disclaimer and liability
CoursePapa is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, or content published by third-party video creators. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable law.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on your dashboard and the date above will change. Questions, complaints or deletion requests: [email protected].
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
